Costa Rica North
Safari Surf has called Costa Rica its home since 1995. After surfing Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast for over 25 years, we know all the best breaks, but more importantly… we know the great undiscovered spots, too. From the infamous Witches Rock and down South to Pavones (and so many secret spots between), we have the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica wired! We’ll follow the swell charts, tides flows, and wind patterns before your arrival to map out the best route to travel and the best spots to surf so you can concentrate on the most important part… surfing the absolute best waves Costa Rica has to offer!
Every town we travel through or stay in… we’ll have you dialed in with not only the best waves but the best lodging and best restaurants for your budget. You will be accompanied by our local guide (your instant local surf amigo!) who speaks perfect English and Spanish. He/ she will greet you at the international airport on your arrival and off you go to find the perfect surf. Your guide will “hang out” with your party and let you in on all the local secrets in each town you travel to or through.
At Safari Surf, we provide you with an authentic surf trip/vacation that allows you to surf killer waves, learn the local breaks, and increase your surf skills. With a maximum of 4 guests at once, you’ll get a private, individual approach to improving your surfing skills and finding the best surf spots. The bottom line is we want to give our surf guests the most personalized, unique and authentic surf trip experience that they’ll never forget. We’ll never roll up to a surf spot and pile 10 to 12 people out of a van… with a max of 4 people we blend in! You’ll meet the locals and enjoy amazing waves.
Your Spanish speaking guide (a.k.a “surf amigo”) will make your trip smooth and effortless so you can concentrate on getting good waves, meeting cool people, eating great food and mixing in with the locals to get the authentic “pura vida” vibe. No worrying about language barriers, getting lost on dirt roads at night, taking a chance on eating food and getting sick in a strange town… From the time you arrive at the international airport to the time you are dropped off to catch your flight home… you will be styled by a local who will make you feel like a local by the end of your trip! That’s what a true “surf trip” is all about.
