Overview

The Salina Cruz area has something for everyone with a great variety of waves to choose from. One of the best attributes of this area is the array of point breaks on offer – as you move north up the coast, the points get more hollow and more powerful. There is also a fun beach break in the area, and we are constantly finding new spots to the north and south. If you like right hand points that peel for hundreds of yards this is the best spot on Earth to explore!

Josh Mulcoy, Resident Surf Pro

I have been traveling the world for the last 20 years. It has been my passion to search out the best waves in obscure regions. I have dealt with many different travel agents, ticket agents and surf camps. I have gained a ton of knowledge from all of this, and am putting all my knowledge into helping our clients in their travels to be as easiest and most affordable as possible. I have been traveling to the Salina Cruz area for the last 6 years, going several times a year on different routes.

Surfing

Southern Oaxaca is blessed with a mix of pointbreaks and beachbreaks, ranging from playful sand points throwing up chest high runners that peel for hundreds of yards, to mean, sand-sucking tubes that provide world class barrels. There is something for everyone in Southern Oaxaca, from the novice who is looking to glide, to the traveling pro who is looking to find the barrel of the season. The options are plentiful, which keeps the crowds to a minimum. The season for Southern Oaxaca begins in March, and can go all the way through November depending on the swell models. There are waves here year round, but south swell season is the best and this area is the ideal place for last minute surgical strikes when the conditions are right!
